Bathtub Gin

Don’t worry, they don’t make gin in the copper bathtubs that dot this rather spacious bar located behind a coffee shop on 9th Avenue – or at least, not that we know of.  A red light outside indicates when the bar is open, and a hostess (who you will be able to identify as being conspicuously well dressed to be sitting in a coffee shop) will direct you.  There is a wide range of gin and non-gin cocktails on offer here, like the Sloe Gin Ginger Sling, which is a nice fizzy, fruity drink with a kick of ginger.  They also offer DIY s’mores that come complete with a small burner for roasting marshmallows.  They tend to be slower around happy hour and heat up around 10pm, so depending on the vibe you’re looking for and your appetite for waiting, choose accordingly.
