Harding’s

Nestled between the hustle and bustle of Broadway and Park Ave, you’ll find Harding’s on 21st street, a spacious restaurant and bar that celebrates classic American fare and cocktails. The decor pays homage to the Civil War era and includes an oversized 117 year-old American flag on the back wall. Although chandeliers hang from the ceiling, the space is inviting and warm while maintaining rustic charm. In a city tight on space, it’s refreshing to find a venue that can host everything from a casual happy hour, boozy brunch, or large format group dinner.

Harding’s cocktail program succeeds because of its simplicity. It sticks to the classics and relies on fresh ingredients and a skilled bar staff to serve up manhattans, martinis, and other timeless drinks. We love a good old fashioned and you’re certain to find that here with a diverse array of whiskeys and bourbons on hand.

Although we love our cocktails, we would be remiss to not mention the food – a modern take on American comfort food with an emphasis on organic ingredients. There are lots of savory snacks to choose from or you can order from the regular menu at the bar. If you have a sweet tooth, there’s also a griddle cake with moonshine ice cream that is a must order.

Pro tip:   If you’re feeling adventurous, don’t hesitate to ask one of the bartenders to make you something off menu. For the foodies, order the grilled fig toast and whipped goat cheese as a light snack. Get the bacon egg and cheese if you want to indulge and prep your tummy for a night of imbibing.
