Seventies Sundays at Golden Cadillac

The new year may have just begun, but we can’t resist the opportunity for a little nostalgia, especially if it involves cocktails. Golden Cadillac, a welcome Dipsology addition to the Lower East Side, is kicking off a series of educational events to take drinkers back in time.

The event series, aptly named Seventies Sundays, will cater to cocktail lovers who want to talk all things Tiki or potentially learn how to make their own throwback drinks. January 26, 5-7pm

Jeff Beachbum Berry Talks Tiki

Beachbum Berry will discuss tiki cocktails from the 1970s while the Golden Cadillac bar team makes select concoctions from his new book; book signing to follow. Presentation and book signing ends at 5:30pm, drinks specials through to 7pm; sponsored by The 86 Co. and Caña Brava Rum.

February 16, 5-7pm

Getting the Band Back Together with Don Lee & John Deragon of PDT

Don and John will reveal the secrets to their creative process in making new drinks and how to apply modern techniques to fix bad cocktails. Presentation ends at 5:30pm, drinks specials through to 7pm.

March 2, 5-7pm

Jive Talk with Dave Wondrich

Leading cocktail author Dave Wondrich will speak about the cocktails of the ‘70s and new-school shooters. Presentation ends at 5:30pm, drink specials through 7pm.
